Jan-Peter co-founded Amscap after over 12 years of financing various renewable energy asset classes, both for corporate finance boutiques as well as developers.
Since joining Amscap, Jan-Peter managed the financial advisory mandates in respect of Admiraal de Ruyter Windpark and Windpark Monarch, the two 700 MW offshore wind projects that participated in the Borssele offshore wind tenders in the Netherlands.
Before founding Amsterdam Capital Partners, Jan-Peter was an Investment Director with Typhoon Offshore. As one of the two Gemini finance senior executives, he was part of the core deal team that was responsible for structuring and negotiating the senior debt tranche, including managing the technical interface with the finance documentation. Prior to that, Jan-Peter structured and placed part of the Gemini equity.
Prior to Typhoon Offshore, Jan-Peter was project finance manager at Evelop Capital, responsible for structuring and financing wind assets. He participated in the deal teams of transactions that include Prinses Amalia (120 MW), the first ever offshore wind farm to be financed with project debt finance, and Belwind (165 MW), and furthermore successfully financed several onshore wind projects.
Besides a thorough understanding of the offshore wind asset class, Jan-Peter adds strong project finance and M&A transaction execution skills to Amscap.
Jan-Peter holds a degree in business economics from the VU University Amsterdam.
